Dear Everybody,

Have been ashore at our first port of call. We were met by some of the residents, & were shown round the town & surrounding which are very beautiful. There were four boys & four girls in the party we were in, each went to one of the girls’ homes for tea, after tea to the pictures provided for us by the town. I went to a Captain Russell’s home. Saw some more of the country next morning, & after lunch we sailed, & are now well on the way to our next Port of call. Not much to write about as we cannot mention names or give any description of places etc, that may hint at places we call at. The boat’s been rocking quite a bit, but am able to take it now.
